Medal of Honour: Heroes 2

Well, after finishing Medal of Honour: Heroes and enjoying it, I decided to play Heroes 2. It's a lot nicer looking than the first game and the menu system is much better. There are far less missions though, even though they are much, much longer. Some of them are so hard as to be almost unplayable. The amount of times in the last few days that I have nearly smashed my PSP on the train in the morning is ridiculous. Still has been fun, as ever, to shoot Nazis on the way to work! EDIT: I take it all back. The last level is the most annoying thing I have ever played. Impossible. I gave up in disgust.

Medal of Honour: Heroes

Well, first of all let me say how annoying it is to play any game which spells "Honour" as "Honor", but that's them dumb yanks for you. I love the Medal of Honor games, at least the original couple on the PS2 and Gamecube. They dropped off a bit after Rising Sun, but I had still been wanting to play this on the PSP for a while now. It's pretty good albeit with quite a few annoying design flaws, like the long time it takes to activate the health bonuses, but on the whole I'd say it's easily the best FPS on the PSP.

Sonic The Hedgehog

Having hacked my PSP, the first Sega game I played through has been Sonic. I used to love Sonic when it was out on the Megadrive in the early 90s, and it still plays really well today. Couldn't remember how frustrating it must have been to play the original without being able to save. Must have been one of the reasons that my mum and I argued about video games so much back then. Still good fun though - and so much easier with the saves!

The Legend Of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Embarrassingly, I had never played A Link to the Past before now. I'm not sure why but have never been able to find it. Now that I have geeked out my PSP, this is the game I am playing on my way home from work, and am loving it. Despite the graphical boundaries of the Super Famicom, it has has the charm and story of all the Zelda games. Amazing.

Patapon

Patapon is a rhythm action war game, a bit like a cross between Parappa the Rapper and the fighting sections of Final Fantasy, but with the visual style of a slightly more aggressive Loco Roco! It's pretty hard in Japanese, as there are a lot of options, which I imagine don't make a lot of sense even in English (make a tree dance to get supplies etc), but the songs are amazing and the style is great. Proper Japanese madness.
